Funimation CnD?

I posted this in the funimation getting serious thread, but I figure that was the wrong place for it. just pasting and copying it here instead. if this is addressed or not in need of addressing please disreguard.

so, yeah. my internet service was canceled today. according to my provider; Cox Communications, for file sharing licensed materials. More specificly for BTing Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom. I don't have any intention of downloading licensed materials, but I didn't see that mentioned in the list on the front page of the cease and desist list. just an fyi to the BU people that they should also add this one and remove the torrent links. looking on the funimation site, they have already started streaming it and hold the american rights for that (according to thier blog).

I just got a bundle of letters from my ISP, Charter Communications, for the exact same thing. I didn't even know the damned series was licensed, otherwise I wouldn't have grabbed it either. After just re-checking the letters, seems its Media Factory that's got it licensed. Kinda strange the first thing the community would hear about it is this, not some big torrent site (like BU) posting up about getting C and Ds.
And since the company itself got wind and then sent word to the ISPs, isn't there technically a violation of privacy somewhere in the mix? Shaky legal ground when one is downloading fansubs, I know, but still. I know I'm not particularly keen on my ISP letting my personal info stuff getting leaked hither and lo.
