I think it's more like they try to resolve stuff, but fail horribly at it and so then nothing gets resolved, but I guess that's what you meant by screwing around.

but here's my guess
15 minutes - Shana and Hectate trash talk each other with philisophical talk about the meaning of life and emotions
5 minutes - fighting (just cause fans would be uber pissed if there wasnt any)
5 minutes - resolution (very poorly done and skimpy)
5 minutes - long ass credits cause its the last ep

I get how you want something climactic at the end, but still, I don't know why shows have to leave it to the last episode instead of having something like an epilogue episode.

Well, the ending was very anime. All the bad guys get away, the love interest isn't even resolved, blah. It feels like a crappier FMP almost, which really isn't a bad thing as long as there will be a second season... but is there even any more Shana written? I havn't looked that deep into it.

ps: any one notice an overabundance of panty shots this episode? i thought it was really random and out of character of the show as a whole <_<

FMP isn't crap, dude, you just didn't know that the novel is still continuing, and Shana is based on the novel find it or find the manga to solve your problem
Eval Powar is still scanlating it, go find it in their site

Take it as you will. Take it as a rumour, even. That's the most I know. Yes, there's more content in the novels. No, noone's scanlating it, that I know of. Sh*tty EP is doing the manga, though. The editing is nicer than they used to have, though.

I was saying it felt like a crappier FMP. I wasn't saying I thought FMP was crappy, but rather that Shana's ending was similar in a less successful way.

Ditto, I think they're better off scanlating manga rather than fansubbing anime.

Just watched the ending...it's actually pretty better than any ending that i've seen lately (mostly disappoints me except few)...life goes on and stuff is actually good, if we were to conclude something about life, i suppose that's not quite possible no?

lol...i'm high

The ending sucked because the guy saw shana naked at the end and didn't take advantage of the situation.

it's either gonna be like the compiled version of the tv series and dubbed it as movie

or....conclusion

i'm not gonna have high hopes on it...i'll expect the first one as a safety from disappointment

What they did with the ending almost ensures a 2nd season, because the "Trinity" all got away, and Shana and whats his face are living together. Even if they release a movie I dont think it would be able to put all that into 1-2 hours. So probably there will be a 2nd season and a movie.
