Audio Issue

I'm having an issue with certain video playbacks lately, the background sound is louder than the speech, you can clearly hear every last detail from cars passing by to birds chirping. When a character start talking you can either not hear them, or they are very whispered. The only way to hear is to put the volume at full blast, but of course the background sound increases too so its not reliable.

I've tried to fix this by testing out different settings on my PC, from making sure the surround sound isn't on, to updating codecs to no avail. My laptop has no issues with this problem, so I know there's not a problem with the video itself. Any help would be appreciated.

You'll have to fiddle around with your player settings and your audio splitter settings... one of those will be mixing the channels wrong.
(or possibly you've lost some mid-range response in your pc'sspeakers, but that's unlikely o_o)

What player and codecs are you using, and what's the affected file type? I'm no expert but I'll have a go at helping.

Yea thanks for the offer, but the issue has been resolved. Oddly enough the sound on the video was set up in a pattern of:

1 x x x x x
x 2 x x x x
x x 3 x x x
x x x 4 x x
x x x x 5 x
x x x x x 6

As the sound output, so I just marked em all and it adjusted itself to look like this:

1 1 1 1 1 1
2 2 2 2 2 2
3 3 3 3 3 3
4 4 4 4 4 4
5 5 5 5 5 5
6 6 6 6 6 6

And it pretty much split the sounds evenly throughout my speakers, works w/ all videos w/ this same issue.
