nintendos problem is that i bought a wii and still only have the two games i got it with 6 months later

guess thats my problem though :S

my ps3 has, excluding back catalog, 4 games that i play - with 2 more being added this month

i will admit that i can see myself selling project 8 (for skate?) and enchanted arms (for folklore most likely)

meh what do i care in a couple of months i may well have all 3 next gens

That's what I've been saying all along. The only real solution is to own all three consoles.

(Though if you buy a 360 make sure you get it from a high street shop instead of online. It will break down. And once it does you'll want to be able to return it to the shop instead of waiting for MS to do a crappy repair jobbie.)

Now this isn't me being a fan boy or anything, but I do think that the playstation will win this run.

I really think that people will run outta Ideas with the Wii in about a year. Then its just going to be repetitive stuff.

With the way Msofts system seems to be dying on most people, that is a turn off for alot of people.

Sony has been shooting themselves in the foot by not releasing much info about home so thats delaying alot of games, but once thats done I'm sure we are gonna see a truck load of games being made.

Nintendo thought out of the box. Now all the companies have to do the same.
Until there are other people besides Nintendo making good games for the wii, they aren't going anywhere.

and after going through it for about 18 years of gaming ive drawn the conclusion that everyone is going to pick their favorite console based on their own tastes... so pulling out specs or gamelists isnt going to sway anyone of their views in a debate like this.

Ima playstation guy myself, always will be. ill buy a Wii cause it looks interesting and will be fun when i have friends over. and maybe ill get a 360 after a couple price drops if they manage to come out with any good games other than Halo.

also i do think that nintendo will have a problem in a few years, most companies do not want to re-write the entire mechanics of a game to work with that controller system, so we wont be seeing any big-name franchises for the nintendo anymore, like resident evil or MGS.

Yes, which is exactly the reason why Rockstar, EA and other big name houses haven't aren't doing special versions for the Wii which take advantage of the controller. OH SHI... They are. There goes that theory.

Look at it this way: if Nintendo manages to sell their console to every household (again!), the publishers -will- do games for it. No question about it. It just makes sense financially.

It makes sense that companies would jump on the Wii wagon. But if the game is an exact replica of another, then whats the point?

Companies are probably gonna stick to making games on the 360 and PS3 their priority and the Wii just to test things out.

There are apparently a lot of backwards compatibility issues with the 80GB version, I wouldn't get it either way

they took out the emotion engine. which is basically the PS2's hardware. Now its using software to emulate the ps2 so that backwards compatibility is not 100% spot on.

Vlas, is you really want one now then get one of the 60's for perfect backwards compatibility.

I would prefer to play it in PC than at any EXPENSIVE consoles...PC also has equally the same requirements as the PS3 and the XBOX 360 do.
