Its vice versa :rolleyes:
But its not the console here that is malfunctioning. It's just the power supply that gets to hot. So just hang it in the air. That would help some

But what is it and this hatred against the 360?

sounds like M$ didn't do a good job on making sure that their voltage regulators could handle the power dissipation....or if they did, then they didn't implement proper heatsinking or whatnot.

Whoever they had design the transformer/regulator deserves to be fired if he's supposed to be an EE, and if not he should be sent to get his EE degree. Such idiocy ought not to be tolerated.

About the heating. There seems to be some difference in 110V and 230V. A 110V variant has more energy loss so it does get warmer.

example
a power supply for a pc (talking about 1 powersupply)
230V = 300W output
110V = 250W output

I read it in an article wich said the power supply could be the problem for these crash problems

It's not energy loss, but energy dissipation. WHatever voltage regulators were in that power supply weren't rated to handle the kind of load they are being nailed with from the 110 VAC input. So, they heat up and if they are run for long enough, they eventually reach a critical point and fail and *wham* dead transformer psu.

edit: power (watts) = voltage * current

it's just two different conventions, the North American one uses a 110VAC (volts AC) standard and you crazy Europeans use a nutty 230 VAC standard.
