engame is so pointless and gets utterly boring.

BG is carebearing around like pvp matters.

i would go back in a heartbeat if:

full loot after the kill
hate tells
items and spamming spells don't equal win
blizzard introduced a new side, like neutral. two faction side fighting is too limited

i swear, some people pay to play that game just so they can fake-sell items on the AH all day.

maybe DFO can save us...

I suppose killing Ragnaros, at this time, would constitute to be as skilled as a hardcore elite.

But most should had killed Nefarion.

That's pretty sad. No offense to your friend or anything, but you really gotta know when to call it quits.

WoW can go jump off a cliff. It's too simple of a game. <_<

Final Fantasy XI for free...that would be nice...oh and if they could change the whole "jack shit for soloability" aspect of it.

I was a semi-hardcore WoW player, but I cancelled my account (mainly because my friend quit and it can get pretty annoying grouping with random stupid people /omg )

I actually tried FFXI. I personally had some fun with it, and hated it just as equally. The trade skill system pisses me off in that game, because you have to spam the NPC 500 times just to find out that one item you can't remember to the combination.

There are other things, but for some reason all these annoying aspects of the game....intrigue me. I've been wanting to play again for a while now, so, since I cancelled m WoW account, I think I might play it again.

I also think the harder a game is, the more addicting it can get (in the long term). If anyone else here is a EQ1 gamer would know that. I played that game for 5 years straight (ruined my life /wah ) and then I played a couple of other MMO's, and never got into any of them for more than 2 months (untill WoW came out, I don't understand how that game is more addicting than crack, It is my anti-drug).

If I remember correctly for FF XI, I am on Pheonix server, and the name is Cimson (if anyone wants to play with me when I get my account up)

just my 2 cents, out :ph43r:

Free online and free download games usually have no service and crappy production values.

Guild Wars, one of the most popular MMOs out on the market. Well some don't really consider it an MMO since the "outside" is instanced to whoever is in your immediate group, but it's still a fun MMO IMO.

"Rather than labeling Guild Wars an MMORPG, we prefer to call it a CORPG (Competitive Online Role-Playing Game)." - Is Guild Wars an MMORPG?, http://www.guildwars.com/faq/default.html#details

But you still have to pay for expansions that will come every so often.

It runs much like Diablo 2 except the non instanced area hosts MMO amounts of players.

The real MMORPGs are a lot more expensive to maintain using up a lot more bandwidth.
