I just wanted to know what other people thought about this wallpaper I just made...it's my 2nd attempt :wacko:

It's 600 kbs, and it's the 1024x768.... I don't know why it's resizing....gonna try to fix it

make the Haruhi image fade out on the right side. Edge in the middle of the wall = uglees.

Just some constructive critizism..

I don't like how you cut off half her ear on the left side, move her to the right a little bit, or completely get rid of the ear.

The text color at the top is horrible, and not very in cue with the color scheme

Same with the text on the bottom left, and the shadow effect is just bad.

Text on the right..image wise, isn't that bad, altho I think you could do without it since alot of us liek very clean desktops.

Other than that, tho..I think its a great start.

Yeah, the edges bugged me alot, but I didn't know how to get rid of it other than bluring it out manually. Thanks for the suggestion.

The right ear part, it was already cut out to begin with the image I had, I could've reconstructed the ear, but my skill levels are not that far yet :swt:

I thought the colors were a bit off, but it was easy on the eyes, so I left it in there, but thanks for the info, so I won't use it next time with the same background color scheme.

I was thinking it was TOO clean on the right side, so I inserted the text. I didn't know if people wanted more crowded wallpaper or less. I'm guessing less =)

Thanks for the suggestions, I might make a version 2 for it if people want it with the added suggestions here.

Here's the edited version with the suggestions above, I kepted the orange name at the bottom, but everything else is cleaned up.

Also, I didn't know how to fade out only the right side, so I faded the border around the haruhi image.

i just think u should try fix the left side of her head so it goes out past the white blur edge
by reconstruct or by cutting the side ... it may be hard ... and others may like it as it is, but whatever ^^

That background's a little plain, and you might wanna blend the font a little more. But then again, I don't know anything about Gimp, other then it's free.

that red border is not cool. also when you have that second Mikuru in the back. Just leave her transparent with out that fade( I see why you used the color fade tho you need a bigger pic of Mikuru). also get rid of teh text. if its not part of teh background most people wont like it.
