Greetings, Whats with the silence?

Hi everyone, I've been out of the forum loop for a while and thought I'd try getting back into it to discuss manga/anime with others like a proper otaku, but it seems that most forums are dead these days. I mean, it's never a good sign when you can see posts from a year ago on the first page. Well, anyways, I'll be dropping in every now and then to see if there's anything interesting going on, it's nice to meet you all.

Yeah, well, it started with the forums going offline for a month after the old software got hacked, and I think most people went and found new hangouts during that time. We also have a culture of hating noobs (we seemed to get some really bad ones; idk why, possibly something to do with the nature of anime,) so we haven't really built up a good user community at all.

That's probably about it. Thanks for dropping in though; feel free to hang around and spam some threads or something.

The decent avatar size (and the preference for people not to have garish sigs) is one thing I really like about b-u. I pity people with small monitors though.

About the name.. I sometimes go by "Prot" (hooray for K-Pax!) when I game, and "PLotty" just evolved from it, lol.

Nah, it sounds like it reads, rhymes with "body". I'm pretty sure I capitalized the first two because it looked nicer, but it could be that I just held onto the shift key a step too long the first time around.

The new anime season doesn't look too interesting. Then again, I haven't found most anime of late to be all that interesting either... I think reading manga has made me impatient.

The new season looks cool-ish. There are three or five shows I'd like to watch, which makes it better than the current.
Natsu no Arashi second season is a big plus in my books too.
